Editing and Proofreading Services of all Kinds
If you're a student at an American college or university and English is not your native language, I'm here to help you. My goal is to make sure that the written work you turn in--essays, term papers, masters' theses, Ph.D. dissertations, university entrance essays, and even scholarly articles and books--is the sort of work a literate native speaker of English would submit.
I can also help you with resumes, fellowship and grant applications, job application letters, and the like. Proofreading means I will correct grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. I will also make sure that your footnotes are formatted correctly, using whatever system is appropriate for your purposes (APA, MLA, etc). I also provide editing services. I will re-write sentences that, while grammatically correct, are unclear or just do not sound right to the native ear. I can also help with paragraph structure and with the overall organization of your text.
I am happy to help students with their assignments, but will not write papers for students.Editing and Proofreading Rates:
A simple proofreading job will cost $40 per hour, which usually covers 5 pages. More in-depth editing and revision would be about an hour and a half, or $60, for five pages. Additional cost is required for short notice, depending on the time available for your type of project. I can offer a 25% discount to first-time clients.
A major restructuring or planning a writing project would end up costing more than that; I can promise you that you will get what you pay for.
How will you know what it will cost you? Just email me your draft, along with the other information called for below, and I'll tell you how much it will cost. Normally, you should get a reply within 24 hours, probably much sooner.
Payment can be made either by check or money order or through PayPal. If you are not happy with the job I do, I'll keep working on it until you're satisfied.
Any questions? Feel free to contact me. If you aren't satisfied with my work, I will continue with it at no additional charge.
